First of all, I hope that persons in the path of the hurricane are taking care of themselves, or getting out as necessary. Stay safe, people!
Second. Okay. So I should be asleep. As soon as I have this posted, I will go do that!
But I just finished Professor Layton and the Curious Village and I must squee.
Holy shit that was cool! I mean I'd been pleased with the Professor before, he is quite smart!
But the man made a two-person hang glider from crap in Flora's room. :D :D :D
Who even does that?! XD
And Flora. Oh sweetie. Oh there had better be more of her in future games, that was just awesome. Seriously. She's still so young, and to just go off with a stranger like that.
Admittedly, an awesome stranger who made a hang glider from crap in her room. But still!
...on the subject of going off with strangers, just what in the hell was wrong with Baron Reinhold. Who leaves their daughter to some stranger in their will?! And the main requirement is to have a puzzle fetish?!
She could have died of old age in that village, dammit. >:/
I mean. Did the man have no friends at all? Did Lady Violet have no relatives?!
And I kind of get that there's things going on there, like winning the hand of a maiden by overcoming trails (though I think the Professor is maybe a bit old for her?) and proving himself worthy and all. Bonus points for only getting the treasure if they could make her laugh, although that is either some strange ink or an even stranger birthmark.
But really that is an insane thing to do.
And the villagers! Hooray for leaving St. Mystere intact! \o/
That way they can come back on vacations or something and use those rooms I spent the whole game furnishing for them. :P

But there's supposed to be a fourth in the works. :)
And yes, he has a boy sidekick/apprentice named Luke! Who is also rather adorable. He thinks the Professor is the best most smartest person ever! Except when he's being silly about women, but I think he's at that age where we no longer have cooties, but are still very weird and make guys act stupid. Even his beloved Professor!
Who is trying to make a gentleman out of the little rat, bless him. XD
