Guess who's an erratic updater? I am! It is me. :p

So Not terribly enthusiastic about making a list of goals for the year, except this one: read 100 books. I keep a list of books read, though I'm not sure last year's is accurate, but there's still a trend of me reading less. Also, I am a bit of a magpie about magazines and I have way too many that I haven't even read.

Debating: whether I should count the magazines in with the books.

Meanwhile, I've started something I've been meaning to do for awhile - major replaying of games, both what I've got and as I replace things. Currently up to Day 4 of Parasite Eve. I'd forgotten how lovely this is, just all kinds of atmospheric and still creepy in spite of the dated graphics - probably because they got the atmosphere down. Moments like Aya climbing into the carriage for her ride of murderous conversation with Eve? I love imaging how that feels. *shudder*

A lit bit stuck still on my writing, but working on it - and I didn't get anything done this weekend, either. But I am working on getting my sleep schedule under control too, so hopefully I'll get back into having 'mornings' before I head into work.

Book progress so far: 3/100

Nicholas St. North and the Battle of the Nightmare King
E. Aster Bunnymund and the Warrior Eggs at the Earth's Core
Toothiana, Queen of the Tooth Fairy Armies

All by William Joyce, and all very awesome. May have to squee later, entirely too sleepy now. Goodnight!

Alright, chores and necessities covered for now! Although I need to make a library run later.

Not surprisingly, I had some interesting dreams last night. I think there were more, but all I really remember was this ruined old house. Beautiful place, and I was trying to rebuild it, only the construction crew? Was for some reason also a rock band. Kept going on tour, which slowed down my house! I think there were some awesome parties, though. Also there was a talking bird, which kept following me around being kind of obnoxious. Kind of a smallish, very colorful ostrich-thing. At one point I lost my temper and started chasing it around the garden, but that didn't do much good. Stupid bird was faster than me.

Yay fever-dreams! :D

Onward to Epicness! )

And I had to stop there, because I needed to run to the library and pick up my holds. Fullmetal Alchemist manga! <3 I'm up to 13 and things are getting crazy awesome. I don't know about Brotherhood, the new one? But the old anime was a pale shadow of the awesome that is this insanity.

Also I am reading Tad Williams's Memory, Sorrow and Thorn books. I'm on Stone of Farewell now and very pleased so far.

Though my favorite moment of reading was in Dragonbone Chair, when I do not remember who was reading to Simon? But here be spoilers for a lovely bit of storytelling )
